Family Physical Therapy & Wellness offers a variety of assessment/screening programs for the whole family. Our services include:
- Functional Movement Assessment: Screening designed to assess 7 fundamental movement patterns in those with known musculoskeletal pain or as a pre-screening to reduce the risk for injury.
- Ergonomic Assessment: The purpose is to assess a person at their workstation, identify any potential problem areas, and determine appropriate recommendations if needed, to reduce the risk for injury. It is a good idea to consider a workstation assessment when you are a new employee, are experiencing any pain or discomfort throughout the day, are feeling more fatigued that usual, recently had an injury, or have a long-term chronic injury or illness
- Balance Assessment: Balance impairments are common in older adults, but can also occur after a neurological or musculoskeletal disorder or injury. There are many different standardized tests and tools used to assess balance. There are many balance assessment tools that can be used for all ages to obtain objective findings. If a dysfunction is found, then another appointment can be made for a thorough physical therapy evaluation at which time a specific treatment plan would be designed.
